NEW FIREPOWER CATEGORY Sometimes, you need to set a mood in a simple way. Happy, sad, proud, whatever. That's why we created the category of "moods and tudes" on Firepower. The category is made up of solo performances that are labeled by mood and instrument. You can cruise through quickly and find "sad piano" or "happy tuba". Keyword search ain't a bad way to go either.

XFM AWARD BOUND WITH RIPPED Since becoming a Ripped affiliate, XFM network imaging has been nominated for a Sony Radio Award, the most prestigious award in the UK. Head of production Paul Armstrong pointed out that it's an achievement just to be nominated among competition from BBC Radio 1, Kiss 100, Kerrang!, Galaxy, Choice FM and Capital FM. He went on to say, "Thank you for providing a great service for XFM".

FASTER PAGE LOADS/NEW AUDIO PLAYER Kicking the server didn't work so, we went in and tweaked the website to get faster page loads. We've added a new player too so, now you have more control. Also, when you are playing one cut and select another, the previous cut stops playing. Yes, that was annoying us too.

RIPPED ADDS XFM ENGLAND/SCOTLAND Ripped is no longer growing a city at a time. The momentum has been upped to entire countries. The indie rock of XFM London covers most all of England via repeaters. XFM Scotland, based in Glasgow, takes care of the north. Ripped is the real deal in the rock universe. The others are all fur coat and no trousers mate. (Yes, we can be snarky on occasion)

PHILLY GETS RIPPED 94.1 WYSP continues it's tradition of rock attitude with an FM talk format populated by talent with a serious edge. To feed the imaging need, YSP chose Ripped. When asked why, the answer was simple. "We heard there might be a free t-shirt in the deal". The t-shirt rumor is unconfirmed but, thanks for signing up anyway. But seriously, welcome to Ripped.

Detroit knows real rock so, it's no surprise In addition to having a number one afternoon show,KRK is the flagship station for Lions football. Our contract with WKRK stipulates that once a year they ship us a dozen Lafayette coney dogs with extra mustard and onions. Yes, the barter system is alive and well.
